William O. West serves as vice chair of the Bank of Tampa and chief executive officer of the Tampa Bay Banking Company, the holding company of the Bank of Tampa. The Bank of Tampa is a $3 billion asset state-chartered bank established in 1984 in Tampa, Florida. The bank currently has 12 offices in Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Sarasota counties.
Prior to his current position, Mr. West served as chief executive officer of the Bank of Tampa from 2008 to 2020 and as executive vice president from 1998 to 2008. He previously held senior-level positions at Barnett Bank of Tampa, Wachovia, and Exchange National Bank of Tampa.
He is a member of the board of directors of the Jacksonville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He also serves on the boards of the Tampa Bay Banking Company, the Bank of Tampa, TCM Bank, ICBA Bancard Services, Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Foundation, and St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation.
Mr. West earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of South Florida.
