Steven "Woody" Woodward served as president and chief executive officer of Kirkland's Inc. from 2018 through May 2023. Kirkland's Inc. was founded in 1966 as a specialty retailer of home décor in the United States and operates 355 stores in 35 states and an e-commerce website. The company had over $560 million in sales in 2021 and employs over 8,000 people across stores, distribution facilities, and corporate offices. During the pandemic, the company implemented a strategy shift to modernize product offerings and invest in digital capabilities to improve its e-commerce business.
Prior to joining Kirkland's Inc., Mr. Woodward served as president and chief merchandising officer for Crate and Barrel from 2015 through 2018 and as senior vice president at Fossil Group Inc. from 2007 through 2015.
Mr. Woodward is a member of the board of directors of the Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He has served as chair for the American Heart Association's Nashville Heart Walk in 2021 and 2022 and is a member of the organization's Middle Tennessee Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Woodward earned his BBA from Texas Tech University.
