Adam Wright has served as chief executive officer for Pilot Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, since 2023. Founded in 1958, Pilot has the largest network of travel centers in North America, with nearly 900 locations in 44 states and six Canadian provinces, serving an average of 1.2 million customers per day. The company operates the third-largest fuel tanker fleet in North America and supplies approximately 12 billion gallons of fuel per year. Pilot is one of the largest providers of biodiesel, renewable fuels, and low-carbon fueling alternatives and has also developed an extensive EV charging network.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Wright served as chief operating officer for Pacific Gas and Electric Company from 2021 to 2023. He also served as president and chief executive officer for MidAmerican Energy Company from 2018 to 2021. He held various executive-level positions with Berkshire Hathaway Energy since joining the company in 1996.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Past board service includes the Nuclear Energy Institute, Iowa Business Council, Iowa Utility Association, American Gas Association, Governor Reynolds' COVID-19 Economic Recovery Advisory Board, Rejuvi Ventures LLC, John R. Grubb YMCA, Science Center of Iowa, Tom Osborne's Teammates, and Hope Center for Kids.

Mr. Wright holds a BS degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska.
