Michael E. Hicks Jr. has served as president and chief executive officer of Hixardt Technologies Inc. since 2001.
Hixardt is a managed cloud services and IT solutions provider for enterprise and government clients. Hixardt offers cloud computing, cybersecurity, customer relationship management, network security, staffing and outsourcing, remote storage, database development, web hosting, technology assessment, data center virtualization and consolidation, and planning services.
Prior to Hixardt, Mr. Hicks served as IT director for Network Telephone and was an electronic warfare aircraft commander and flight instructor in the United States Navy from 1989 to 1999.
Mr. Hicks serves as chair of the board of directors of the New Orleans Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He also serves as a member of the board of Enhanced Capital. Mr. Hicks is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and the Gulf Coast Cybersecurity Task Force. He also serves as the CISCO Network and Cyber Security Academy adviser at Pine Forest High School and University of West Florida. Previously, he was a member of the Pensacola Chamber of Commerce and Workforce Escarosa board of directors.
Mr. Hicks received his BS degree in computer and information systems from Florida A&M University in 1988.
