Speaker Biographies
Dr. Raphael W. Bostic took office June 5, 2017, as the 15th president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is responsible for all the Bank's activities, including monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and payment services.
Sameera Fazili is a senior adviser to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's community and economic development group, specializing in economic mobility issues. She has spent her career working in domestic and international economic development, with a focus on inclusive economic growth, access to finance, and social enterprise.
Douglas Jutte is the executive director of the Build Healthy Places Network and has been a leader in the Federal Reserve Bank and RWJ Foundation's Healthy Communities Initiative since 2010. He is a pediatrician and a professor and population health researcher at University of California, Berkeley.
Tina Lowe is a real estate adviser to the Atlanta Housing Authority. She formerly served as the president of Mercy Housing Southeast where she led the expansion of Mercy's work into health care and creating healthy, stable environments for young people and senior citizens. Prior to joining Mercy, Lowe held positions at Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the commonwealth of Massachusetts as the undersecretary of housing and community development.
Karen Minyard has been director of the Georgia Health Policy Center since 2001 and is also a research professor with the Department of Public Management and Policy at Georgia State University. Minyard connects the research, policy, and programmatic work of the center across issue areas such as population health, health philanthropy, public and private health coverage, and the uninsured.
Donald Schwarz is vice president–program of Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, guiding the foundation's strategies and working closely with colleagues, external partners, and community leaders to build a culture of health in America, enabling everyone to live the healthiest life possible.
Meaghan Shannon-Vlkovic is vice president and market leader for Enterprise Community Partner's Southeast market. She leads Enterprise's programmatic work in the region, focused on providing an array of resources to affordable housing and community development partners.
Elizabeth Skillen serves as a senior adviser in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Policy, Research, Development, and Analysis Office in the Office of the Associate Director for Policy, providing advice on the development of evidence-based approaches to accelerate the best prevention science into policy.
Leslie Watson is an analyst for the Community Economic Investment Program, which is part of Community Health, Mission Integration at Dignity Health. Watson has served in this program for four years, having previous financial experience in banks, private industry, university, and governmental programs.
