Details about the independent foreclosure review (IFR) process and related information for potentially eligible borrowers are the focus of an upcoming audioconference led by Federal Reserve and Office of Comptroller of the Currency staff. Join community development practitioners, housing counselors, and legal aid attorneys from across the country at 3 p.m. ET on Tuesday, October 16 for a call-in session on the topic.

This audioconference will provide an overview of the history and terms of the IFR agreement, including who is eligible and how such borrowers can request a review. In addition, the session will provide information to homeowners who think they may be eligible for a review and resources for housing counselors to assist eligible homeowners. Finally, the session will provide suggestions on how community groups can spread the word on IFR and encourage eligible families to request an independent review.

Register for this interactive session at the Connecting Communities™ website. Participation is free, but preregistration is required. Participants are encouraged to submit questions by e-mail in advance of the session.

This event is part of the Federal Reserve's Connecting Communities series, which is a national initiative intended to provide community development practitioners, financial institution representatives, policymakers, and others with timely information on emerging and important community and economic development topics.
