The Atlanta Fed will host a training workshop on March 5–6 as part of the CDFI Fund's capacity-building series on financing community health centers. The free training, led by the Opportunity Finance Network (OFN), is targeted to community development financial institutions (CDFIs) interested in launching or expanding their lending to community health centers (CHCs). The workshop will provide information on:
- Trends in health care and the role of CHCs
- Defining the CHC landscape and operational structures
- Credit needs of CHCs and sources of capital
- Underwriting CHCs.
The workshop will also provide a foundation for CDFIs to access up to 40 hours of free one-on-one technical assistance from a roster of industry experts, as well as to participate in affinity groups that will be organized based on topics. More information about the financing community health centers training series and other capacity-building initiatives can be found on the CDFI Fund's site.
