Participate in Webinar on Evidence-Based Practices
Workforce development professionals must be able to create, access, and analyze relevant data to inform public policy successfully and create economic opportunity. The data are critical to building evidence-based practices. The Kansas City Fed will host a webinar March 22 at 3:00 p.m. ET that will address how to build evidence-based workforce development practice using case studies from initiatives in New York City and Chicago.
This webinar, Transforming U.S. Workforce Development Policy & Practice: Building Evidence-Based Practice, is the second in a series led by the Kansas Fed. It will be based on two chapters from Transforming U.S. Workforce Development Policies for the 21st Century, a book jointly developed by the Kansas City Fed, the Atlanta Fed, and the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development.
Elizabeth Weigensberg of the University of Chicago and Amanda Cage of the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, authors of the Transforming chapter "Chicago's Journey toward Better Data and Performance for the Workforce Development System," will present during the webinar on their initiatives to improve workforce decision making and governance. A third speaker, David Berman of the New York City Center for Economic Opportunity and author of the chapter, "Piloting and Replicating What Works in Workforce Development: Using Performance Management and Evaluation to Identify Effective Programs," will discuss improving service delivery.
Register for the March 22 webinar on building evidence-based practice. Also, mark your calendar for the next webinar on April 28. This webinar will address targeted workforce development strategies.
