Broward College believes everyone can achieve Unlimited Potential and has expanded its business model under Broward UP to increase educational access and attainment levels in Broward County, Florida. Broward UP seeks to expand education, workforce, and supportive service opportunities for residents in neighborhoods throughout Broward County. As part of this effort, Broward College case managers use career ladders to help students build an education path from entry-level jobs that typically require shorter-term credentials or certificates up to more advanced jobs that require associate degrees or higher levels of education.
The Atlanta Fed is partnering with Broward College, local employers, and community partners to identify how benefits cliffs affect students on public benefits as they advance up career ladders.
