Stuart Andreason: A big part of our job is here at the Bank, but another important part of the role that we play—in the community development department, in the Research Department, and in the institution more broadly—is to get out and experience and hear from people that are dealing with challenges related to community development, workforce development, and economic development broadly in the communities that we serve.
And for me, I really cherish the times that we get to go out and talk with—what I broadly talk about is stakeholders, but these are people that are looking to make positive changes in their communities. We hear about challenges that they face; we hear about questions that they have about the work that they're doing. The questions that they bring, the goals that they have for their communities, are the things that I like to embed in the work that I do.
