Sixth District payroll growth accelerated in February, creating a net 41,600 new jobs in the District, up from 28,200 in January and 18,600 in December.
All six Sixth District states contributed to the gain in payrolls in February, but to varying degrees. Tennessee added 11,400 jobs, while Louisiana followed up JanuaryĆ¢??s loss of 10,500 in January with a gain of 9,100 in February. Florida added 7,800 new payrolls, while Alabama tacked on 5,200 new jobs. Georgia added 2,600 payrolls.
