Light vehicles sales have been mostly flat since November 2012. In March, sales of cars produced domestically were essentially unchanged while sales of imported light vehicles decreased at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.8 percent.
Sales of domestic vehicles are almost back to prerecession levels. Sales of domestic light vehicles are currently 3 percent below levels in November 2007 while sales of imported light vehicles are 14 percent below.
