The U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development reported that new single-family home sales increased 2.3 percent from March to April. New home sales were ahead of the year-earlier level, up 29.0 percent.
Months' supply of new homes was unchanged at 4.1 months.
