U.S. construction spending growth slowed notably in June on a year-over-year basis. Residential construction spending remained ahead of the year-earlier level but growth slowed notably from May to June. Public nonresidential construction spending continued to be a drag on total nonresidential construction spending in June as spending continued to weaken.
