Compared with the previous month, total industrial production (IP) was unchanged in July, and the manufacturing sector's output fell. Auto production declined on a month-over-month basis, and its year-over-year growth pace continued to moderate. The relatively weak July IP report stands in contrast with the strong ISM survey data released a few weeks ago.
