Headline CPI rose at a 1.9 percent one-month annualized pace in July. The 12-month measure accelerated to 2 percent, after coming in at a low of 1.1 percent in April. Core CPI (excluding food and energy) increased 1.7 percent over the last 12 months, up slightly from the June measure of 1.6 percent.
