Compared with the previous month, total industrial production (IP) rose 1.1 percent in November, for the first time surpassing its prerecession level. Manufacturing output increased 0.6 percent, although it remained below its peak level in December 2007. Year-over-year growth in total manufacturing production decelerated slightly in November but was still stronger than in the first half of the year.
