Existing single-family home sales turned slightly positive in December on a monthly basis, increasing 1.9 percent from the prior-month level. Sales remained negative on a year-over-year basis, down 0.7 percent. The months' supply of available existing homes edged down in December to 4.6 months, the lowest reading since early 2013.
