February's consumer expectations from the Conference Board's (CB) survey and the University of Michigan's (UM) survey were mixed, with the CB measure dropping to 75.7 from 80.1 in January and the UM reading rising slightly to 72.7 from 71.2 in January. The CB results remain consistent with results experienced in the last quarter of 2013, while the UM measure continued to fluctuate, not quite reaching prerecession readings.
