Consumer expectations from the Conference Board's (CB) survey and the University of Michigan's (UM) survey continued to be mixed, with the CB measure rising substantially to 83.5 points in March from February's 76.5, and the UM reading dropped moderately to 70.0 points from 72.7 in February. The CB results were the highest they have been since September 2013, while the UM measure continued to fluctuate.
