In the Atlanta Fed's most recent business inflation expectations (BIE) survey, respondents indicated that, on average, they expect unit costs to rise 2.0 percent during the next 12 months, up slightly from May's reading of 1.9 percent. For nearly three years, respondent firms' year-ahead inflation expectations have not changed considerably, hovering just under 2.0 percent.
