The Conference Board’s survey on current conditions rose for the fourth consecutive month, from a revised reading in July of 87.9 to 94.6 in August, a 6.7 point surge. The University of Michigan’s survey continued its upward trend rising to 99.8 in August from July’s revised reading of 97.4.
