The September Summary of Economic Projections for 2014 gross domestic product (GDP) growth showed a decrease of 0.1 percentage point at the lower and upper bounds of the central tendency from the June projection. The central tendency of GDP growth in 2017, whose project was was released for the first time, is projected to be between 2.3 percentand 2.5 percent. The central tendency of the long-term projection decreased at the lower bound from 2.1 percent in June to 2.0 percent in September, and the upper bound remained the same as the June projection: 2.3 percent.
