Thank you for your willingness to participate in the Atlanta Fed's 2024 Financial Markets Conference. This is the 28th anniversary of our signature policy and research conference, which convenes leading experts to discuss emerging financial market issues and their monetary policy implications.
This page contains important details for all conference speakers. It will be updated periodically leading up to the conference. You will receive emails from your point of contact, Kim Tyson, asking you to review new information when it is posted.
Keynote, Panelist, and Moderator Checklist
- Your primary point of contact for planning purposes and onsite at the conference is Kim Tyson. Prior to the conference, she can be reached at (404) 498-8892 and kimberly.tyson@atl.frb.org. After May 17, she can be reached at (404) 312-4827.
- Register for the conference at https://cvent.me/BwVXm5. Choose Speaker from the Registration Type dropdown. On the Order Summary page, enter SPEAK in the discount code field. This will waive the registration fee.
- Arrange travel to Jacksonville International Airport or Amelia Island, Florida, and send receipts to kimberly.tyson@atl.frb.org before, during, or after the conference. Ideally, we would like to have all of your receipts no later than June 5, 2024. (See Travel Guidelines)
- Send your current bio and a high-resolution photo (.png or .jpeg) to Kim Tyson.
- Sign and return the Photo/Video Release form to Kim Tyson.
- Send Kim Tyson your travel dates. The Atlanta Fed will arrange your hotel accommodations. You will receive an email with your confirmation number. (Note that payment for any hotel nights outside of May 19, 20, or 21 will be your responsibility.)
- If using a deck, send presentation slides in PowerPoint format to Kim Tyson by noon (ET) May 16, 2024.
On the day of your presentation, please:
- Arrive at the technology table at the back of the ballroom at least 15 minutes prior to your session start time to receive your lavalier microphone.
- Be mindful that the transmitter is usually clipped onto clothing or placed in the speaker's pocket.
- Dress so you will be comfortable on a tall stool (panelists) or in an armchair (keynote Q&A) with your entire body visible to the audience.
- Review the panelist speaking order and confirm with Kim Tyson.

Airport and Ground Transportation
Note that the hotel does not provide transportation to or from the airport.
The closest airport is Jacksonville International Airport in Jacksonville, Florida. The drive from the airport to the hotel takes approximately 40 minutes.
To the hotel from the airport

To the airport from the hotel on May 22
It can be very difficult, if not impossible, to book Uber or Lyft from the hotel to the airport. On May 22, after the conference, we will provide complimentary bus transport from the hotel to the airport. The bus will depart at these times:

Complimentary coach bus transportation from the hotel to the airport will be provided. Departure times are 6 a.m., 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and noon.
Attire
We suggest business casual attire and encourage you to be comfortable.
On the day of your session, dress so you will be comfortable on a tall stool (panelists) or in an armchair (keynote Q&A) with your entire body visible to the audience. Also be mindful that the lavalier microphone will be clipped on, and the transmitter is usually clipped onto clothing or placed in the speaker's pocket.
Attendees
We expect 120 to 130 senior-level financial markets professionals and policymakers to attend the conference. Livestream attendees: We hope to have 100 to 200 people attend the livestream sessions.

This event will be livestreamed on the Atlanta Fed's YouTube page and recorded for later accessibility.

Media rules of engagement
Everything in the official proceedings of the conference is on the record, including audience questions and responses. Breaks, meals and other conversations around the conference are off the record, unless agreed upon by both the reporter and the source.
Conference Mobile App
Download the conference app to view the schedule, read speaker bios, contact attendees, participate in the Q&A, download photos, and more. Links will be provided closer to the conference dates and onsite assistance will be available.
Q&A Platform
Questions for the speakers will be drawn from attendees through Cvent's Attendee Hub. We will provide additional details before the conference. Moderators will have an iPad on stage to review electronically submitted questions.
