For immediate release: February 28, 2011
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta today announced that it will cease publication of the Bank's monthly Research Notes press release.
The Atlanta Fed's Research Notes release was launched in 2004 to highlight the Bank's research efforts, speeches and other articles of interest. The Bank will continue to produce a Weekly News Digest e-mail, which is a compilation of all the Atlanta Fed website's new content—data, articles, speeches, research, circular letters and more.
The Bank sends the Weekly Digest e-mail to a list of subscribers though the Bank's WebScriber. Individuals who had subscribed to Research Notes will begin receiving the Weekly Digest e-mail in March and can unsubscribe at any time at frbatlanta.org/webscriber/user/dsp_login.cfm.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and portions of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
