The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta today announced that it has been named one of America's Top Workplaces by Workplace Dynamics. The Atlanta Fed ranked 113th nationwide among 872 organizations with more than 1,000 employees that participated in regional top workplaces programs.
The National Top Workplaces list was determined by feedback gathered through employee surveys conducted by Workplace Dynamics LLP in conjunction with 30 regional newspapers. Last year in the same survey, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution ranked the Atlanta Fed number nine in the large-company category as one of the top workplaces in Atlanta. Data from that survey were also used to identify the top workplaces for the national recognition.
"The Atlanta Fed strives to be a workplace of choice and distinction, said Atlanta Fed President and CEO Dennis Lockhart."We are pleased that our efforts to create an environment where staff can thrive and grow have resulted in this honor."
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
