Robert J. Musso has been promoted to senior vice president at the New Orleans Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, announced Jack Guynn, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Fed. Amy S. Goodman has been promoted to vice president at the New Orleans Branch.
Musso is responsible for operations in the New Orleans office. He also serves as product director for all cash operations in the Sixth Federal Reserve District. Musso has served at the Federal Reserve System level in a number of capacities and currently chairs the System Cash Advisory Group and the Coin Diversion and Divestiture Task Force.
Musso joined the New Orleans Branch of the Bank in 1968 and transferred to the Bank's Jacksonville Branch in 1972 as manager of the data processing department. He returned to New Orleans as manager of data processing in 1974. Musso was named manager of the fiscal agency department in 1977 and served in that capacity until he was promoted to assistant vice president in 1981. He was named vice president and branch manger in 1988.
Musso attended Nicholls State University. He completed the Young Executive Program at Pennsylvania State University and the Graduate Institute of Bank Marketing at Louisiana State University.
Goodman is responsible for the branch's administrative services function and oversees all other branch operations. She joined the New Orleans Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in 1980 as an operations analyst in the accounting department. Before joining the Bank, she taught in the Jefferson Parish school system and worked as the center director of the YMCA of New Orleans. She is a member of the District Subcommittee on Personnel. Goodman currently chairs the Sixth District Assistant Branch Managers Conference.
Goodman received a degree in special education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and has attended the executive development programs at the University of Tennessee and the University of Cornell.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
