Robert Bagosy has been named assistant vice president for law enforcement at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, announced Jack Guynn, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Fed. Bagosy is responsible for the Sixth Federal Reserve District’s law enforcement function and serves as department officer for the Atlanta Law Enforcement Unit and its training center.
Previously Bagosy served as vice president of security operations for Chase Card Services in Wilmington, Del. Bagosy has over 20 years of management experience in corporate security and law enforcement. Before joining Chase, he worked for Amtrak, progressing from patrolperson to regional director of police and security.
Bagosy earned a master’s degree in behavioral science and criminal justice administration from Wilmington College, where he served as an adjunct faculty member, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the criminal justice program. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for six years.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation’s central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
