F. Michael Reilly, president and chief executive officer of Randall-Reilly Publishing Co., in Tuscaloosa, Ala., has been appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Birmingham Branch. Bobby Bradley, a managing partner of Lewis Properties LLC and Anderson Investments LLC, in Huntsville, Ala., and Samuel Dodson, a consultant to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 312 and president of the Central Alabama Building and Construction Trades Council, in Birmingham, Ala., have been reappointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Birmingham Branch. Their terms began Jan. 1, 2007, and run through Dec. 31, 2009.
Reilly worked at Randall-Reilly while in college and began full-time after graduation. Reilly was named to his current position in 2002. Prior to that position, he was named president and chief operating officer in 1984. Before that, he was president and publisher of two magazines and vice president of sales and marketing for the entire Randall-Reilly Publishing Co.
Reilly is a member of the board of directors of the President's Cabinet of the University of Alabama and a member of the University of Alabama's Commerce & Business Administration Board of Visitors. He is a member of the board of American Business Media, the national trade association for business-to-business publishers, in New York. He is past chairman of the Metro Board YMCA of Tuscaloosa County, the United Way of West Alabama and the Boys & Girls Club of West Alabama. He has also served on the boards of directors for AmSouth Bank and SouthTrust Bank in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama in 1976.
Bradley joined Lewis Properties LLC and Anderson Investments LLC following her retirement in 2004 from the Computer Systems Technology (CST) Business Unit of Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), where she served as group manager. CST was acquired by SAIC in April 2003. Prior to the acquisition, Bradley was president and chief executive officer of CST, which she co-founded in 1989. Prior to establishing CST, she had a successful 18-year career as a mathematician, programmer and analyst, holding positions with Northrop Corp., Computer Sciences Corp. and the U.S. Army Missile Command.
Bradley is a member of the board of directors of Alabama National BanCorporation and First American Bank. She is active in Leadership Huntsville/Madison County and the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. Bradley graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1971 with a degree in mathematics and computer science.
Dodson recently retired from his position as business manager of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 312 and president of the Central Alabama Building and Construction Trades Council. The IUOE primarily represents operating engineers who work as heavy equipment operators, mechanics and surveyors in the construction industry and stationary engineers who work in service industries. It also represents nurses and health industry workers as well as public employees engaged in a wide variety of occupations.
Dodson serves as a board member of the Alabama Labor Hall of Fame Foundation, the executive board of the United Way of Central Alabama and the Alabama Workforce Investment Board.
Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta branch directors provide economic information from their industry and the branch territory to the district Bank's president and head office directors, who use the information in formulating monetary policy and making discount rate recommendations. Reilly was appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Birmingham Branch by the Board of Governors. Bradley and Dodson were appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Birmingham Branch by the Atlanta Fed's board of directors. The Board of Governors appoints three of the directors of the Birmingham Branch, and the Atlanta head office directors appoint four.
