Wendell "Bucky" Sebastian, president and chief executive officer of GTE Federal Credit Union, in Tampa, Fla., has been appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Jacksonville Branch. Linda Sherrer, president and chief executive officer of Prudential Network Realty, in Jacksonville, Fla., and Ellen Titen, president of E.T. Consultants, in Winter Park, Fla., have been reappointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Jacksonville Branch. Their terms began Jan. 1, 2007, and run through Dec. 31, 2009.

Sebastian has served as president and chief executive officer of GTE Federal Credit Union in Tampa, Fla., since 1989, with the exception of 1996, when he served as president of the Trust for Credit Unions. Previously he served as executive director and general counsel of the National Credit Union Administration and cofounded Callahan & Associates Inc., a national credit union consulting firm. Additionally, he was general counsel and Chicago administrator of the Illinois Department of Financial Institutions and executive assistant to the Illinois Secretary of State Michael J. Howlett.

Sebastian is a member of the Credit Union National Association and the Emergency Preparedness Committee and is a trustee of the Trust for Credit Unions. He is a director of Open Financial Solutions Inc. and Tampa Bay Partnership and is chairman of Credit Union Housing Partners Inc. Sebastian earned a degree in advanced scholastic philosophy and a doctorate of jurisprudence from Loyola University of Chicago. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Illinois.

Sherrer is president and chief executive officer of Prudential Network Realty of Jacksonville, Fla. Before founding Prudential, she was marketing director of Epping Forest and an officer at Gate Petroleum Co. She was also corporate vice president and director of relocation for a local real estate company and has more than 25 years of executive experience in real estate.

Sherrer is a member of the board of directors of the Florida Association of Realtors and the I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless. She is a member of the Florida Association of Realtors, the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors and the Jacksonville Women's Network. She also serves on the board of trustees of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and the board of advisers of the Coggin School of Business at the University of North Florida. She earned a degree at Williams College.

Titen is president and owner of E.T. Consultants, a consulting firm that specializes in business development and communications. Titen has been involved in marketing and public relations for more than 23 years.

Titen is a past chairman of the board of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce and is serving her 13th year on the chamber's board. Titen is currently a member of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the board of the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute.

Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta branch directors provide economic information on their branch territory and industry to the district Bank's president and head office directors, who use the information in formulating monetary policy and making discount rate recommendations.

Sherrer was appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Jacksonville Branch by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Sebastian and Titen were appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Jacksonville Branch by the Atlanta Fed's board of directors. The Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., appoints three of the directors of the Jacksonville Branch, and the Atlanta head office directors appoint four.
