ATLANTA — The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta awarded its annual President's Award for Excellence to four staff members—Lori Geiger in the Jacksonville Branch; Sri Nori in the Atlanta Fed; Rosbaldo Raposo in the Miami Branch; and Benjamin Rogers in the Atlanta Fed. The awards were presented by Dennis Lockhart, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Fed, in a recent ceremony. The President's Award recognizes Sixth Federal Reserve District employees who have distinguished themselves by their outstanding performance.
Lori Geiger has made significant contributions coordinating depository institution training procedures during her 32-year career as a payment services adjustments specialist in checks adjustments. Her training efforts for financial institution employees resulted in significant improvements in the check adjustment process.
Sri Nori, an applications system analyst/project director in the Retail Payments Office (RPO), has been involved in virtually all areas of the RPO check payment process since joining the Bank in 1992. His extensive background allows him to consistently develop innovative solutions to the challenges facing the Bank. As a result, Nori holds several pending patent applications for his innovations in the Check 21 processing system.
Rosbaldo "Robbie" Raposo has consistently provided creative solutions to the issues faced by facilities in Miami during his tenure as a facilities operations supervisor. Because of his creativity and hard work, the Miami facilities team has come to rely on Raposo to prepare the branch for emergencies and keep operations running during crises, such as hurricanes.
Benjamin Rogers, a senior facilities operations specialist, has consistently displayed a strong work ethic during his 17-year tenure at the Atlanta Fed and focuses on quality results. Working independently, he is a meticulous mechanic who completes his assignments and often covers additional shifts to complete tasks or accommodate coworkers' schedules during the holidays.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia and parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
