Diane Bessette has served as vice president and chief financial officer of Lennar Corporation since 2018. Lennar Corporation, founded in 1954 and headquartered in Miami, has built more than 1.5 million homes and is one of the nation’s leading builders of quality new homes. The company is also an originator of residential and commercial mortgage loans, a provider of title closing services, and a developer of multifamily rental properties. In fiscal year 2024, Lennar was the second-largest homebuilder in the country based on the number of homes delivered and is currently ranked 129 on the Fortune 500 ranking.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Bessette served as corporate treasurer of Lennar from 2008 to 2018 in addition to various leadership roles since 1995.
Ms. Bessette serves as chair of the board of directors of the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and a member of the board of directors of Partnership for Miami.
Ms. Bessette earned her BA degree from Rhode Island College and her MS degree from the University of Rhode Island.
