Duane Dewey is president and chief executive officer of Trustmark Bank and Trustmark Corporation. Trustmark, established in 1889, serves the financial needs of customers and communities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas with more than 165 locations, along with a vast network of ATMs and ITMs throughout the Southeast.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Dewey served as president and chief operating officer in 2020. Prior to this role, he managed Trustmark’s commercial real estate, institutional banking, corporate banking, treasury management, and insurance division from 2006 to 2018 and was president of wealth management from 2003 to 2006.

Prior to joining Trustmark in 2003, Mr. Dewey served as managing director and senior vice president of Provident Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sarasota, Florida. His experience in the financial services industry also includes 14 years with Bank of America, where he worked in corporate banking, serving clients in the Dallas, Texas, area followed by time working in metropolitan Washington, DC, area as senior vice president of the bank’s private clients group

Mr. Dewey is the Federal Advisory Council representative for the Sixth District of the Federal Reserve System. He is a member of Trustmark’s board of directors and the current second chair for the Mississippi Business Alliance.

He earned BS and MS degrees in finance at Louisiana State University. He is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.
