Larry E. Lewis Jr. has served as president of PROJECTXYZ Inc. since 2007. Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, PROJECTXYZ was founded in 2002 as a technical solutions company engaged in engineering, manufacturing, broadcasting, foreign military sales, logistics, alternative energy, and information technology services for federal and commercial customers both domestic and international. The company provides expertise in the research, design, development, integration, and sustainment of innovative solutions in engineering for federal customers, manufacturing, logistics, information technology, and alternative energy. PROJECTXYZ is a minority woman–owned small business and nationally certified by the Southern Region Minority Supplier Development.
Mr. Lewis also serves as chief executive officer for Business Technology Development Center (BizTech) since 2015. BizTech is a business incubator founded in 1997 and is located in Huntsville, Alabama. BizTech assists entrepreneurs by giving them the tools and guidance needed to succeed.
Prior to his current roles, Mr. Lewis served as vice president of corporate development and information technology for Madison Research Corporation from 1996 through 2007.
Mr. Lewis is a member of the board of directors of the Birmingham Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He also serves on the board of directors for Shoals Economic Development Authority, Opportunity Alabama, and the Business Council of Alabama.
He earned his BS degree in technical industrial management and his MBA in finance and strategic planning from the University of Alabama.
