Michael D. Ross has served as president and chief executive officer of CB&S Bank since 2017.
Founded in 1906, CB&S Bank is a leading community bank with more than $2.8 billion in assets. It is headquartered in Russellville, Alabama, and operates 56 offices in the Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee markets. Employing more than 600 people company-wide, the bank offers a complete line of full-service banking products and other related financial services to retail and commercial customers.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Ross served as regional president and chief commercial officer for Renasant Bank from 2007 through 2017. Prior to this, he served as executive vice president, commercial middle market banking, for Regions Bank from 2005 through 2007. He held various leadership roles within SouthTrust Bank from 1989 through 2004.
Mr. Ross is a member of the board of directors of the Birmingham Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He serves on the boards of both the Alabama Bankers Association and the University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Business. He is immediate past chairman of both organizations. He also serves on the University of Alabama President’s Cabinet.
He earned his BS degree in business administration and MBA from the University of Alabama.
