William G. Yates III is president and chief executive officer of W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company and its parent company, the Yates Companies Inc., a nationally recognized contractor consistently listed among the Engineering News Record’s top 50 contractors in the United States.
Mr. Yates is a member of the boards of directors of the New Orleans Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Trustmark Corporation and Trustmark Bank, and the Gulf Coast Business Council Executive Committee. His former directorships include the University of Mississippi Alumni Association, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, the Millsaps College Board of Trustees, and the University of Mississippi Foundation. He is also former chair of Mississippi Associated Builders and Contractors and former chair of the United Way of South Mississippi.
Mr. Yates graduated with high honors, receiving his BBA from the University of Mississippi. He earned his MS in construction management from Arizona State University.
