Biography
Blake Lyons is executive vice president of the Atlanta Fed's Operations and Administrative Services and People, Culture, and Engagement Divisions. He oversees the Bank's financial services and all Branch operations, including the Sixth District's Cash, Facilities, and Law Enforcement Operations. He is also responsible for the departments of Corporate and Enterprise Engagement, People and Culture, and Public Affairs.
From 2021 through 2023, Lyons served as executive vice president and chief people officer for Federal Reserve Financial Services. He began his Atlanta Fed career in 2000 as a financial services analyst. In 2003, he joined Cash Services as a section manager and became a director in 2006. He joined the Human Resources Department as a business liaison in 2008 and was later promoted to assistant vice president with responsibility for Facilities, Records and Information Management, and Event Management. Lyons was appointed vice president of Human Resources in 2013 and senior vice president in the Retail Payments Office in 2018. Lyons currently serves on Mercer University's Stetson-Hatcher School of Business Board of Visitors and the Atlanta Police Foundation.
Lyons earned a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
