Biography
Monica Evans is a senior adviser for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Community and Economic Development team. Her focus is on housing and neighborhood focused place-based community development. Monica’s previous work includes partnering with neighborhood residents, community organizations, and funding partners to implement strategic investments in mixed-income housing, community organizing and engagement, economic and workforce development, education, and healthcare. Most recently, Monica was a community development consultant, collecting and utilizing grassroots community-driven data to deploy high-quality, evidence-based community-supported investment strategies that result in self-sufficient, thriving communities. She has a bachelor’s degree from Salem College, master’s degrees from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s School of Government (MPA) and Emory University’s Candler School of Theology (MDiv), and is currently completing her dissertation at Clark Atlanta University (English and Political Science).
