The Americas Center at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and the Stetson School of Business at Mercer University invite you to participate in the Fifth Southeastern International/Development Economics Workshop on December 2, 2011. The workshop is intended to provide a forum for discussing innovative research on international and development economics and to facilitate the exchange of views among researchers and policymakers. Those interested in participating in the workshop should submit a draft paper or a one-page proposal to the program committee by September 1, 2011. Send proposals to Stephen Kay.

All proposals should include the title of the paper, the author's affiliation and contact information, the main questions the paper examines, the most relevant literature, the intended contribution of the paper to the literature, possible data sets and the methods to be employed. If possible, please attach a work-in-progress draft to the proposal.

The selection committee will contact the authors whose papers have been selected by September 8. The final papers are due on November 4. The workshop will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Further information on the conference program will be posted on the Americas Center website at www.frbatlanta.org.
