The Atlanta Fed held its eighth annual conference on financial markets October 17–19, 1999, in Sea Island, Georgia. The theme of the conference was financial crises. Jack Guynn, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Fed, gave opening remarks, and Cleveland Fed President Jerry Jordan also spoke at the conference.
