About the Event
The Federal Reserve System has been increasingly focused on workforce development issues over the past several years. To that end, we will be hosting a discussion focused on important topics addressed in a recently released publication, Transforming U.S. Workforce Development Policies for the 21st Century. The event will feature an array of key leaders and book authors from around the country who will share their perspectives on workforce development and employment-related issues with an eye toward turning ideas from the book into action.
The book was developed in partnership between the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta and Kansas City along with the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University. It presents perspectives and case studies from noted academics, policymakers, and practitioners from around the country and is designed to inform workforce development approaches for a modern economy.
