The 13th Annual Southeastern Health Economics Study Group Conference will be held on November 6–7 at the Federal Bank of Atlanta. The sponsors for this year's event are the Center for Human Capital Studies at the Atlanta Fed, the W.J. Usery Chair of the American Workplace, and the Bernard B. and Eugenia A. Ramsey Chair of Private Enterprise, both in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. Conference organizers are Melinda Pitts of the Atlanta Fed along with Tom Mroz and Barry Hirsch of Georgia State University.
The purpose of this conference, which is by invitation only, is to present and promote active exchange and discussion of the latest health economics research among senior and junior economists. Some meals will be provided, but all other expenses, including transportation and lodging, are the participants' responsibility.
The conference will consist of a full day of presentations on Friday, November 6 and a half-day of presentations on Saturday, November 7. Each paper will be allotted one hour, including 35 minutes for presentation and 25 minutes for discussant comments and discussion from the floor. The number of conference participants will be limited. It is expected that participants will read the papers prior to the conference and attend all sessions.
