Doris Quiros has been named senior vice president for the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit (SRC) Division for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She will oversee the Sixth District's supervision of state member banks, bank and financial holding companies, and U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banking operations. She will have oversight of the District's Credit and Risk Management (CRM) function and serve on the System's Supervision Committee. She will report to President Raphael Bostic and serve as a member of the Bank's Executive Leadership Committee.
Quiros began her career as a statistical reports analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 1991. She joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in 1996 as a team leader in Statistical Reports. Three years later, Doris transitioned to the Bank's Financial Management and Planning Department. In 2004, she was promoted to assistant vice president, Financial Statistics and Structure Analysis. She later moved to Internal Audit, serving as assistant vice president and assistant general auditor. In 2013, Doris joined SRC after successfully posting for the role of assistant vice president, CRM. She has served as the vice president of the SRC Division since 2016.
As Quiros starts her new role as senior vice president, Mark Gibson will become vice president for the SRC Division. He will retain overall responsibility for CRM while assuming SRC's business continuity, information technology, quality assurance, and records management functions. Gibson will report to Quiros and join the Division's senior leadership team and the Bank's Discount Committee.
Gibson started his career as an analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in 2001. He led multiple Central Business Administration Function organizations supporting the Treasury and Credit and Risk business lines during his seven years in Richmond. Gibson relocated to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as an audit manager in 2008 and was promoted to audit director three years later. He assumed the role of assistant vice president and assistant general auditor for Internal Audit in 2013. Gibson has served as the assistant vice president for CRM since 2017.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks, and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government.
