Emily Mitchell is vice president and regional executive at the Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She is a member of the core group of Atlanta Fed leaders advising on monetary policy. Her work with business and community leaders in Middle and East Tennessee helps bring local insights to national policy deliberations. Mitchell oversees the Nashville Branch's board of directors, Sixth District’s Human Capital Advisory Council, and Tennessee-based community outreach efforts.

Mitchell is a policy expert with a previous focus on community and economic development topics. She joined the Atlanta Fed as part of the Community and Economic Development team in 2011 and worked in several leadership roles in that area.

Her deep engagement in the Nashville community includes involvement with various nonprofit boards and initiatives such as Habitat for Humanity, the United Way, and Metro Nashville Social Services. She has also participated in Leadership Middle Tennessee. Mitchell earned her bachelor's degree in business and communications from the University of Alabama and a master's degree in urban and regional planning with an emphasis on public policy from Virginia Tech.
