The Economic Survey Research Center (ESRC)'s Outreach Lab manages recruitment and retention for the center's business surveys with a staff of panel coordinators. Understanding the experiences and expectations of business leaders remains crucial to effectively conducting monetary policy. The perspectives of firms' decision makers on business conditions and the likely path of economic activity are a useful complement to statistical agencies' data, which comes with a lag.
