The annual forum will examine the micro and macro features of the evolving international financial system in the context of a desire for resilience to future shocks. We will explore the nature and role of specific institutional structures in trading off efficiency and risk in the banking system. Drawing on international lessons from the recent crisis, we will also compare the costs and benefits of different regulatory structures in facilitating credit allocation while limiting systemic risk.
