Via Train (New Jersey Transit and SEPTA): New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor line stops in New Brunswick. From New York City, take New Jersey Transit to the New Brunswick train station. The ride takes about one hour. From Trenton, New Jersey, take the Northeast Corridor line to New Brunswick. The ride takes about 30 minutes. From Philadelphia, take the R7 SEPTA line to Trenton, and then take New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor line to New Brunswick. Allow 90 minutes to travel from Philadelphia to New Brunswick. From southern New Jersey, take New Jersey Transit's RiverLine to Trenton, and then take New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor line to New Brunswick. Via Train (Amtrak): From points south, including Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Wilmington, and Philadelphia, take Amtrak to Trenton or MetroPark, and then take New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor line to New Brunswick. From points north, including Boston, Providence, and New York City, take Amtrak to the Metro Park station, and then take New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor line to New Brunswick. Via Train or Taxi from Newark Liberty International Airport: If you're flying into Newark Liberty International Airport, you have two options to get to New Brunswick. First, hail a cab at Newark Liberty International Airport and then head to the hotel. (It's about a 30-minute ride from the airport. Taxi service will cost around $60.) Or, take the monorail at the airport to New Jersey Transit's Newark Airport train station and then take New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor line toward Trenton. Walking from the Train Station: The Heldrich is within 10 minutes' walking distance of the train station. From points south, exit the train and follow the train platform to the left. Take the staircase to the street level, which puts you on George Street. Head to the right and continue down George Street. The fifth traffic light is Livingston Avenue. Take the crosswalk across Livingston Avenue, and then proceed down the sidewalk to the right. The Heldrich will be on your left. From points north, exit the train and follow the train platform to the right. Take the staircase to the street level, putting you on Somerset Street. Proceed down the sidewalk to the right and turn right onto George Street. Continue down George Street. The fifth traffic light is Livingston Avenue. Take the crosswalk across Livingston Avenue and proceed down the sidewalk to the right. The Heldrich will be on your left.

Taxi Service from the New Brunswick Train Station: A taxi stand is located outside of the New Brunswick station near the Albany Street entrance. The address for the Heldrich is 10 Livingston Avenue.

Driving Directions/Parking
From the New Jersey Turnpike (north or south): Take Exit 9 to Route 18 North. Pass through one traffic light. Keep right for "New Brunswick Exits." Take the New Street Exit. Proceed through two traffic lights. Parking is available in the Morris Street Deck (between George Street and Livingston Avenue) and the New Street Deck (between Livingston Avenue and Joyce Kilmer Avenue). The entrances to both garages are on the left side of New Street.

From the Garden State Parkway South: Take Exit 129 to the New Jersey Turnpike South. Take Exit 9 for Route 18 North and follow the Turnpike directions above.

From Garden State Parkway North: Take Exit 105 to Route 18 North and follow the directions listed above, or take Exit 129 to the New Jersey Turnpike South and follow the Turnpike directions above.

From Route 1 (north or south): Take Route 1 to the intersection of Route 18 and take the exit for Route 18 North. Follow the Turnpike directions listed above.

From Route 287: Take Exit 10 to Easton Avenue (New Brunswick). Proceed on Easton Avenue for approximately seven miles until it ends at Albany Street (at the New Brunswick train station). Turn left onto Albany Street; go a one-and-a-half blocks to George Street. Turn right at George Street and go five blocks to New Street. Turn right onto New Street. Follow the Turnpike instructions above for parking information.

Valet Parking
Valet parking service is available at the Heldrich. To access it, follow any of the instructions above to New Street. Turn right onto Livingston Avenue. And then pull up in the hotel's driveway (on Livingston Avenue, between New and George streets and across the street from the George Street Playhouse and Crossroads Theater). Hotel valet staff will then park your car.

Handicapped Parking
About a half-dozen handicapped parking spaces are available on either side of Livingston Avenue in front of Heldrich Plaza.

Garage Parking
Parking is available in the Morris Street Deck (between George Street and Livingston Avenue) and the New Street Deck (between Livingston Avenue and Joyce Kilmer Avenue). The entrances to both garages are on the left side of New Street if you're coming from Route 18. Self-pay kiosks are located in the garage lobbies. You'll pay for your parking when you return to retrieve your vehicle.

Walking from the Morris Street Deck to the Heldrich
Take the elevators to the street level. Turn right and enter the vestibule. Exit the glass doors on your right and follow the sidewalk to the right until you get to the traffic light. This corner is the intersection of George and New streets. Turn left and cross New Street. Proceed down the sidewalk. The building on your left is Heldrich Plaza. When you get to the end of the building, follow the sidewalk to the left. The hotel lobby will be on your left.

Walking from the New Street Deck to the Heldrich
Take the elevators to the street level. Turn right and exit the garage onto New Street. Follow the sidewalk to the right until you get to the corner of New Street and Livingston Avenue. Cross Livingston Avenue. Turn left and cross New Street. The building on your right is Heldrich Plaza. Continue down the sidewalk, past the Heldrich Center, the Heldrich Condos, and Christopher's Restaurant. Proceed down the sidewalk to the right to the hotel lobby entrance.

Brunswick Hilton Guests
Since our lodging block at the Heldrich sold out, some of our panelists may have made lodging arrangements at the Brunswick Hilton in nearby East Brunswick. To get to the Heldrich, you can either take a cab from the Hilton to the Heldrich or arrange to take the Hilton shuttle to the Heldrich. You'll need to request the shuttle service about one hour before your departure. For returning to the Hilton, either take a cab or check with the concierge at the Heldrich to request shuttle service to the Brunswick Hilton.
