James O. Etheredge has served as chief executive officer of Accenture North America since 2019. Accenture North America is the company's largest geographic market, generating $29 billion in revenues in FY22 and with nearly 80,000 employees. The company has earned numerous top rankings as a great place to work and a leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Mr. Etheredge joined Accenture in 1985. He became a partner in 1997 and executive partner in 2011. His career included leading the teams responsible for many of the company's largest clients and overseeing practices in North America and Europe. While directing Accenture's business across 10 states in the Southeast, he extended Accenture's innovation hub network by creating an innovation incubator at the Georgia Institute of Technology and expanding Accenture's hub in metro Washington, DC.
Mr. Etheredge is a member of the boards of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, TechBridge National, Global Apprenticeship Network, Atlanta Police Foundation, Metro Atlanta Chamber, and Woodruff Arts Center.
Mr. Etheredge earned his BS in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he serves as a trustee and is a member of the Hill Society.
