Kathleen Cannon has served as president and chief executive officer of United Way of Broward County since 2012. United Way of Broward County has united the community to tackle its most complex and critical challenges and create long-lasting positive change for over 80 years. United Way invests in programs that ensure neighbors have the opportunity to achieve optimal health by providing access to quality healthcare, today's youth achieve their greatest potential by focusing on early learning and leadership programs, and individuals and families have the skills and tools needed to earn, keep, and grow their assets.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Cannon served as vice president and chief operating officer for Broward House from 2002 through 2012.

Ms. Cannon is a member of the board of directors of the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She also serves as cochair on The Prosperity Partnership Board and is a member of the Florida Commission on Access to Civil Justice board.

Ms. Cannon earned her BA degree in clinical psychology from Moravian College. She also holds a master's in social work from Florida International University.
