Nyerere "Nye" Hodge is a senior research analyst for community and economic development within the Atlanta Fed's Center for Workforce and Economic Opportunity. Hodge contributes to the center's research by providing data analysis, data visualizations, and data storytelling—all combined to turn insight into action. His research focuses on improving career mobility for low- and moderate-income workers and workers without a bachelor's degree, closing race- and gender-based gaps in the workforce, and tracking employer demand for occupations and skills. Hodge holds a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in economics from Rutgers University and a master's degree in quantitative political economics from the University of Central Florida. Prior to joining the Atlanta Fed, he was a research analyst for a leading international workforce analytics firm that tracks occupation and skill demand in real time. Previously, he developed his storytelling skills as an associate news producer for the ABC News affiliate in Orlando, Florida.
